Mississippi Responds
On April 20, 2010, an explosion on the offshore oil drilling platform (Deepwater Horizon) caused it to burn and sink, ultimately spilling oil into the Gulf of Mexico. We continue to pray for all those whose lives have been directly affected by this tragedy; the need for help is acute and overwhelming.

LESM Reaches out to 7 Counties affected by April 24 Tornadoes On Saturday, April 24, a devastating tornado struck Mississippi leaving in its wake a trail of destruction extending 149 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. If you would like to donate to LESM’s Mississippi tornado relief and long term recovery efforts, please contact Lutheran Disaster Response (www.ldr.org) or Episcopal Relief and Development (www.er-d.org).
